With its roots in Norfolk, the revival of the Triorca International Youth Orchestra returns to East Anglia performing in Norwich & Cambridge this summer 2024 following a residency at the University of East Anglia. Grown from the twinning connections between Norwich, Novi Sad & Koblenz, the orchestra is made up of musicians from the UK, Serbia & Germany with a considerable number of its players studying at UK & International conservatories and universities. This year, the orchestra has invited musicians from the twin city of Rouen in France. Since its inception in 2010, the orchestra has supported young musicians at the beginning of their careers and has toured all around Europe.
This eclectic programme includes scintillating music chosen by Artistic Director, Nicholas Daniel OBE, taking you on a journey from the sparkling music of female Finnish composer, Tarkiainen to the more familiar pastoral sounds of Ralph Vaughan WIlliams. We will transport you across the ocean to the lesser known incidental music of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor before celebrating the magical orchestration heard in Scheherazade. Please join us for what will be an incredible performance by some of the best local young musicians and guests from abroad.
