Following their acclaimed collaboration at Aldeburgh Festival in 2008 the partnership between Pierre-Laurent Aimard and Britten Sinfonia continues with this performance featuring Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 14. The rest of the programme focuses on the works of Haydn and Elliott Carter. Regarded as a key figure in the new music world and with a peerless reputation as a pianist of formidable technical mastery in repertoire of the past, Pierre-Laurent Aimard will shed light on these two composers and their skill in creating contrapuntal lines of balance and clarity.
